Think of having a real 3D video game console that is portable. Awesome right? But don’t stop there let it play movies as well. Then use the awesome technology from the company that brought us the Walkman, to listen to all you music with crisp clarity (with album art!) Oh wait, also you can browse the web over Wifi. Also you can buy original Playstation (abbreviated PSX) games and play them on your PSP from the Sony store. Already have a ton of PSX games that you wish you could play any place you want? Almost all of them can be converted and played on a PSP with homebrew firmware. I would like to say I do not condone piracy at all. With homebrew firmware you can play backup copies of you PSX and PSP games (saved on a memory stick) on your PSP, and so much more! Play DVDs you already own on your PSP (after you convert them). I bought a perfect condition PSP on eBay with a 4Gb memory card for only $200. With that I can fit albums and albums of my favorite music on it, a few games and a movie or two, all at the same time! In addition you can make phone calls over WiFi with Skype! Play your favorite classic games with emulators (SNES,MAME, etc)! There is even a homebrew application that lets you use a wireless keyboard turning your PSP into a tiny computer of sorts. Even going as far as being able to run Windows 95! Think, mobile eBay, Instant messaging, Email, and Internet. All for around $200. I can’t believe this didn’t get a 10/10. Set all the homebrew aside the PSP stands toe-to-toe and betters the Nintendo DS. Honestly once you see all that you can do with the PSP you will actually feel sorry for Sony. Reports state that Sony loses money on the System itself and makes it back and then some with game sales. I love the games for the PSP, they are real games like Star Wars Battlefront, Tony Hawk, GTA the list goes on and on. Sony has always had a larger library than Nintendo with every generation of game system, and yet again with the PSP, much less, all the PSX games you can play on it! And it is super easy to modify to boot! Although the newest PSP is a little harder to modify the firmware you can still do so with out a soldering iron! On the both reviews for the PSP version 1000 and 2000 on CNET.com state that “UMD load times still poky compared to Flash-based DS games” which is like comparing apples to oranges. I personally would not sacrifice graphics performance in a game for load time speeds in the amount of seconds. But yet again that is another legitamite reason to modify your PSP. While loading games off the Memory Stick I can’t even read the tips Battlefront gives me on the loading screen! lol. Notice some of the features that Sony is coming out with for the PSP they won’t allow the older PSPs to utilize but fear not the PSP homebrew community diligently makes many of these availiable to us PSP 1000 users. I hope everyone who reads this will understand why I (and perhaps as well come to) love the Sony PlayStation Portable as much as I do.

Hello,

I highly doubt anyone is actually going to read this but if you somehow stumbled upon this, the main idea of this blog is not just a waste basket for my endless blabbering about myself politics or something, but a place to post cool and or useful things I have found online or things of interest.

I have made another blog on blogspot.com but I have to be uber specific and use alot of quotes to get it to show up when I search google. Maybe this blogger will work better in that regard. I like this blogger because I can use tags which is cool. Maybe blogspot has tags too, idono.
